We’re planning a trip.
Oh, hello there.
We’re Rachel and Anne. Anne and Rachel. Whichever way you like to say it, it’s fine with us.
So what are we trippin about?
Well, we’re planning a road trip.
What kind of road trip? you ask.
It’s an extended road trip – the kind that will take us to every mainland state in the US. It’s the kind that will challenge us to learn how to make money on the road. The kind that challenges expectations.
The kind of road trip that makes you think, “Man I wish I could do that!”
That’s why we’re blogging about it.
We’re going to tell you about the planning process, the decisions we make, the mistakes we make, and the adventures we have.
We want you to see what it takes and we want to inspire you to find the adventure in your life.
Maybe an extended, largely unplanned road trip isn’t for you – but we bet there’s something you’ve wanted to do that you just haven’t found the courage to do.
When are we leaving?
We’re expecting to launch from Southern California sometime mid-January 2012.
Where are we going?
We’ll probably head to Arizona first.
What can you expect to see from us?
We’ll be sharing videos, blog posts and pictures as our adventure progresses.
There likely won’t be a lot of joint posts like this, you’ll be getting updates from each of us individually :)
How are we traveling?
We haven’t figured out the details yet. Here are the options we’re currently considering:
- Kickin’ it simple, but crazy, by couch surfing our way through the country in Anne’s Ford Focus.
- Shelling out a few thousand bucks for a cheap RV.
- Getting enough people or businesses willing to sponsor our trip by loaning or donating equipment such as an RV, camera equipment, groceries, etc.
How can you help us?
In our videos and blog posts, we’ll be sharing the challenges we’re facing.
If you have a hookup or something to donate (even if your donation is simply an idea or moral support) we would love to talk to you!
Otherwise, just make sure to spread the word and help us gain fans! The more, the merrier :)
Till next time,
Anne & Rachel
